Have stayed here 2 times now. Fair price for what they offer. Rooms are not very big or fancy but they are cheap and the location is good. The beds are comfortable enough and warm water in shower and sink. The pub downstairs was closed due to Covid-19 at the time, but they offered take away so we had our meals in room. Not too many choices in the menu, but the food is amazing. Fresh and tastes really good. Totally recommend this place if you need a hotel or a pub
First time visiting tonight and we were delighted with our choice! Lovely interior, friendly staff, and delicious food! The freshest pizza dough ever! They were offering the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, allowed our small dog and were happy to adjust the pizza for my vegan ways ;0). 10/10 excellent! We will defiantly be back, thank you
I read most reviews after booking and was scared to actually go. But it was alright! I really don't know what people expect at this location for this price! Of course you aren't going to get a 5 Star Hotel. I agree it needs to be renovated, one window for example couldn't be closed which is fine during the summer but in the winter..... the stairs can be really dangerous, steep with broken handles - not suitable for either old people or children. However, fine for anyone else. But it was relatively clean and that's whats more important to me personally. Whoever said this neighbourhood is shady has certainly never been in a shady London neighbourhood before! I always felt safe. The location is amazing!
LOVELY!!! We booked three nights at the new market hotel as it was my bday weekend and my friends and I wanted to stay pretty central. Location is really good, 15’ walk to Camden main road, owner and dj are THE BEST!!!, thanks again for everything and definitely we’ll see each other soon!!!!
Great hospitality and customer service. Came here with my partner, Kind workers who were very helpful with the surroundings. 10% discount at the bar and restaurant for room users. Rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds and mattresses. Great location, 20mins away from Camden Town/market and London zoo.Would definitely recommend.
The rooms were okay, but they didn't have much air moving around. The window didn't open widely, and the room's air system didn't bring in much air. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options and was well-supplied. The staff was nice and friendly.
We chose this place as we had a tiny budget to stick to and we're so happy that we did! Very simple but comfortable room, walking distance to Camden and Kentish Town and tube stations, and best of all they have great drinks in the bar below too, like a range of Braddock on tap. Bar doesn't stay open late so you aren't disturbed at all. Staff were lovely and really welcoming.
It seems the hotel's a totally different business to the pub - so this is just a review for the pub, take that in mind. Lovely pub that's surprisingly quaint for being near the middle of London. Drinks are reasonably priced, food is incredibly reasonably priced with good portions for the price - while being served at 10pm. Gentleman behind the bar was lovely and the whole experience made me feel surprisingly at home despite being 150 miles away. If you're looking for somewhere relatively quiet on a Friday night to grab a beer and watch the football, this is the one.
